Finally got around to buying a 3DS XL to tide me off until after Christmas when I can probably get a switch without having to fight somebody for it or snipe scalpers online.
Got a little more than $300 bucks left over so I was wondering if /v/ could recommend some games to spend my money on.

Not much point. My rig can run pretty much anything flawlessly, and anything it can't is usually due to piss poor optimization or a rare instance where AMD has some proprietary physics mechanic that Nvidea doesn't... which is next to never.

Yeah but then I wouldn't have physical boxes, carts, and other shit I actually collect. Secondly I'm not about to risk turning my new 3ds into a brick when I've got money in my budget to buy games right now.

It sort of implies there isn't much to play, when both of the platforms you already own are constantly getting a shit ton of games and plenty more released in Q1/Q2 that you surely haven't had time to play yet.

All Zeldas are great (yes, even Tri Force Heroes). Also try Bravely Default (it has a free demo in the eshop).
Also, you can get DS games for cheap if you missed out on those before. I'd recomend getting the three Castlevanias.
