I'll tell you what IS different from EA or Activision thou. EA and Activision might have their stale repetitive franchises but due to them owning many studios you occasionally get good games with different design methodologies.

Ubisoft are the guys who at least try to change things up with their games and I can enjoy some of them quite a bit but because of the shit decisions like mircrotranastions and putting out broken games, no one like them and at the very least, they're right to be wary (we should be wary of everygame and not be blindly led on but still, can't tell that to /v/. their guys apprenelty never fail them).

However, I think that for every shitty thing Ubisoft has done, there's things that aren't their fault and I think people need to grew the fuck up and realize how their own hype culture and expectations have made them into snivelling man children. They'll get mad at things that aren't problems and ignore the good and insure everyone around them hears that they've never been good and blah blah blah. In their eyes, Ubisoft can do everything wrong.

They've put more resources into fixing games than I've ever seen any company ever do. Their problem is their games are fun until people discover the meta, and then they have to restructure the whole game around the meta to be fun for everyone, which requires them to revamp the whole game and ends up with no significant fixes until 8-16 months later.
