Especially with how there were multiple cauldrons with different effects that gave you a reason to actually plan ahead and master the alchemy system rather than just freely fixing any errors you make with no penalty like in E&L.

I still think the cost system in rorona+ was the best alchemy system. The amount of time I spend on crafting nuclear bombs by making high cost suplements and other materials with high cost traits was insane. I think I've spend like 10 hours on making 2 fucking items.

What are you talking about? The arland trilogy was a trilogy that played in arland. Rorona was first an apprentice and then became the teacher of totori. After the third game they moved from arland to another trilogy.

It's like saying all halo games are the same because you shoot stuff in all of them. They still feature different worlds, different characters, different alchemy systems, different goals and have usually their own gimmicks. They are still atelier games at the core. If you expect one atelier to be a JRPG with crafting and the next one to be a third person shooter without crafting then you are fucking retarded.

They do. As I said they all have their own gimmicks. In totori you build a ship, in meruru you build your own town, in sophie you customize your puppet etc.

You play as a little girl because the games cover a few years at a time. Rorona is 14 in her own game and almost 30 by the end of meruru. Add that to the fact that she actually becomes the teacher of totori and you have your reason why they are all little girls, because you basically watch them grow up and do their things. They also don't have the same personality.

Again, they don't play out the same. In arland alone you start with a girl that has to work off her debt, then the next game has you play as a girl who wants to be an adventurer and find her mother who has gone missing and the third one is about a girl who helps building up her kingdom with alchemy. They are not the same at all, and that's just one of the trilogies.
