Trauma team killed it. It was the move away from the fast paced franticnes. Ortopedics and endoscopy were tedious as fuck and diagnostics and forensics were both super boring. Give me another game with all surgery and I'll buy a console for it. Trauma Center is the reason I bought both a DS and a Wii.

It doesn't sell enough. The gameplay is probably too intense for your average jap and too anime for your general western base. Like, the fact it sells more in the west than Japan is always a glaring red sign for japanese companies it feels.

I liked them all except endoscopy, Trauma Team as a whole I consider fantastic aside from that. Though Forensics and Diagnostics definitely asks for a different mindset that I could easily see turning fans of the series away.

Team being a colossal failure financially to the point of killing the series always bums me out because they put a lot of fucking work into that game. It was also slightly too easy.

Second Opinion > UTK2 > UTK >New Blood > Team

I still haven't gotten around to New Blood because I didn't like the Wii controls as much as the DS ones. Still liked Second Opinion a lot but I never felt like I had the same level of precision or speed which was the best part of UTK/2.

They're all pretty good, New Blood is probably the weakest entry but still alright. Second Opinion is a remake of the original but with better art and new operations (though bizarrely they cut out the original ending chapter from the DS game and just gloss over it with some text)

emulate Second Opinion, if you like it then emulate either New Blood or Under The Knife 2. They're both great, but do share some content between each other in terms of the surgeries. After that if you want to keep going try Team, just be aware it's a very different beast with much less surgery, other gameplay styles, and a much larger emphasis on story.

He later came in with his left hand with another pair of styluses for quad-wielding. I have never been able to find that video since. I wonder if /v/ might e able to locate such a treasure. I have fond memories of Under the Knife because I'd just broken my right hand when it came out and couldn't use it at all for several months. My mom had bought me Trauma Center not realizing how touch dependent it was, but I forced myself to learn how to play left handed.

By the end of the 2nd month I could S-rank any operation, and I'd also learned how to write fluently with my left hand.

I still write left-handed exclusively to this day, all because of this game.
