Because just like every other game with a ranked system it is unfair in order to force you to play more and more in hopes of climbing back up. By shooting you down to 75 you want to play more in order to get back to where you were. Especially if you feel cheated because "well that was just my teammates messing that up, I'll win the next for sure".
