Just got through the prologue in Bravely Second and I can't decide what classes Yew and Magnolia should focus on.

In Bravely Default I felt like everyone had a pretty clear role, Tiz as the Tank/Jack of all Trades, Agnès as the Healer, Ringabel as the Mage/Utility and Edea as the DPT, at least that's how I had them.

Tiz and Edea can reprise their roles, but if I make Yew the Mage, Magnolia will have to be the healer which seems off, as it does the other way around.

Kinda had the same issue you have. I just made Tiz + Edea DPS, Yew a Wizard and Magnolia healer.

Feels kinda wrong to have Magnolia as a healer but Wizard Yew feels pretty fitting.

Yew is best as a mage class any mage class really the other three can be whatever. I made Tiz my main healer and edea and magnolia DPS.

Yew makes a good Wizard. Keep Magnolia as damage--bishop is % healing if you want to subclass it and Hi-Potions+Halfsies outclasses most healing for a little while.
