Can we have a Total War thread? All TW games are on sale on Steam right now. Which ones should I buy and which ones should I avoid? I already own E:TW and Medieval II: TW, and just bought Napoleon. Should I buy Shogun II too?

Total War games should only be pirated until CA stops their shitty practices
Only exception is Shogun 2

I just started my first co-op campaign with Shogun 2. During battle it was lagging so hard it was almost impossible to play. Is there any way to improve network performance or run it on a lan for that matter?

I really enjoyed Shogun 2 Fall of the Samurai. I think Empire Darthmod might still be my favorite because of the settings, the grand campaign scale and the era that it is.

I've never understood why a person would start a thread just to watch it die.

Yo, why doesn't warhammer have this.

Licensing issues.

how do licensing issues stop them implementing naval battles?
Why was attila left to die?
It's easily one of the best pre-gun games they've ever made.
Y'all niggas need La Montée de l'Empire, not that baby shit Darthmod.

They literally don't have the rights to make naval battles in Warhammer because another game does.

Shogun 2, Shogun 2: Fall of the Samurai, Attila, and Warhammer are all pretty good. Warhammer has a simplified campaign map, but the battles are great. If you get Rome 2 get DEI ASAP.

Woah shit. I made the thread and it said "connection error", so I figured it didn't go through.

I'll give more details: Games Workshop has split the pretty much all their licenses into tiny bits, and giving them to a bunch of small developers.
So, while Total War: Warhammer can be a thing, the Warhammer Fantasy Naval bit of their IP has been licensed to another company to make.
