To be fair. Obi-wan was close to his peak in that fight too and what Obi-wan lacked in pure force abilities he more than made up for in resourcefulness and level headed tranquility. Obi-wan didn't beat Anakin because he was stronger, Obi-wan beat Anakin because he was calm, knew all of Anakin's abilities, and was prepared to do what must be done. Anakin was inside of his own head the entire fight, he was sloppy compared to how he could have fought, and his force abilities were off kilter because he still loved Obi-wan in the back of his mind. If peak Anakin with a level head and peak Obi-wan were to fight, Anakin would have won without much issue.

This is kind of true. Rey was on that desert planet for about ten years or something, fending for herself, fighting with that stick, scavenging, haggling with and learning several languages from all the rowdy fuckers who hang out at the scrapyard, how to fly and service a variety of ships thanks to the training programs on that Y-Wing computer she kept for herself. This shit is poorly conveyed in the movie, so you don't really get that she hardened the fuck up in her youth to be able to survive in the desert in which she spent most of her life, while also having the tools to learn the shit she knows.

Comparatively, Luke lived a more mundane farm life well into his late teens. His shooting and flying skills came from his farmboy life of shooting wamprats and riding his landspeeder all over the place. He was the one case where he effectively had to learn from scratch in an age where the presence of The Force itself was apparently dramatically weakened.

Anakin was a whiz with C3-LEGO building playsets and good on a pod racer, but still a kid when he got recruited into the Jedi School of Wizardry and Witchcraft. We don't get to see him growing up, we only see that he's already a highly skilled Jedi in the second movie, formally trained.

The one thing all three of them have in common was good flying skills, after that, their talents and more importantly their upbringings differ wildly. When you link these natural skills to how the Force works (not shit you spend a lifetime training so you can cast Lightning Bolt, but people unconsciously channeling the force to enhance their natural skills until they become conscious of their affinity to the force at which point they can actively push their abilities to a supernatural level), it's not so out there that Rey is able to WHO GIVES A FUCK WE NEED TO SUPERCHARGE THIS NEW TRILOGY WITH BIG EXPLOSIONS AND LIGHTSABER FIGHTS AND FORCE POWERS GOING ON ALL THE TIME

This is a badly written character. Rey does not grow throughout the film and the obstacles placed in front of her present zero challenge. She is smart, innately talented, attractive, witty and almost everyone she meets seems to like her. After the Falcon returns at the end, Leia's first action is to completely ignore Chewbacca - dude's lifelong best friend just died and she walks right the fuck past him - and instead talks to Rey, who she barely even knows.

The term "mary sue" gets thrown around a lot here, but Rey is a fucking textbook example.

Yes, she starts the movie as a criminal behind bars so there's a lot of potential there to play with for vidya. Also her time spent running with Saw's group of rebels. Tons of vidya material, not to mention the plot of the film itself.

I thought she was a fine character, I don't see how she could be boring. She easily had as much character growth as Luke did in A New Hope.

In Battlefront 2 you have campaign. You start as clones and then join Empire.
In Empire at War you help Vader, Tarkin and Sheev to kill rebel scum and then blow some of their planets with Death Star.
In Galactic Battlegrounds you have few campaigns, but i never played this game so much.

He's way easier compared to Jerec but the game does build Desann up as a pretty big threat. Mainly through three different things: he manages to get the imperial remnant under his command, they have him rape Kyle at the beginning and finally they show you Desann fighting and actually managing to beat Luke temporarily.

They do way more with him than they had to, basically. Tavion is the only weak antagonist since she's sort of a reverse of Desann - gets her ass fucked by Katarn in Outcast, doesn't do anything significant in Academy, tries to bring Rosh to her side (fucking ROSH, you can't make this shit up) and in the end they have to bring back Ragnos to even make her look like a threat.

I hate how lifeless the war feels.

On one hand you have an army of soldiers created for the sole purpose of being canon fodder in a war. The other side has an army of soldiers created for the sole purpose of being canon fodder in a war that are made of metal.

And the idea of the civilians and the Jedi were okay with using a Clone Army that was created in secret 10 years before and showed up right when they need it with out looking into this at all I find insane. (and the fact the Jedi are totally incompetent in this era I dont like either. I know that was the point but I feel it takes away from Luke trying to bring them back in RotJ)

I use to enjoy it but now it just doesnt work for me at all anymore. Meanwhile the GCW is filled with stories of families being town apart as members find themselves split between Empire and Rebel, or how just plain outmatched the Rebellion is giving the battles life that the Clone Wars doesnt have.

Though that is just my opinion. I understand completely why people like the Clone Wars cause I use to.

Officially, Luke convinced Anakin to drive Vader out of himself and then kill the Emperor, allowing Anakin to restore balance to the Force by defeating the Sith. Meaning Anakin completed the prophecy of being the Chosen One.
