One example that I came upon recently was Life is Strange, seeing as more threads have been popping up for that lately, and it's exactly as I say. I accuse the game of having bad dialogue, plot wasted ideas, bad gameplay and whatever else ,and I do explain myself, I don't just say "this game's bad because the writing's bad" and in response, I just get "You obviously didn't play it" despite me showing enough knowledge of the game that I clearly played it, I get "Persona or MGS or whatever has bad dialogue and /v/ likes those so who cares" and I not only humor it by explaining why the dialogue in those games is fine compared to LiS, I also point out that even if they had bad dialogue it wouldn't matter because it doesn't negate LiS's bad dialogue, and this goes on and on and on with me trying my best to have a discussion while they just say nothing and act like they're in the right, and then they just go right back to posting their waifu. I don't mind them liking this game despite me thinking it's bad, but for them to not only refuse to have an actual discussion about the thing and act like they're in the right on top of it is headache-inducing, I don't even know why I bother trying to discuss anything with anyone on this website unless it's a circlejerk, at times.
