The game keeps trying to push microtransactions and the sudden bullshit ending shows this game was either rushed or content was cut out so they can include it in their Director's Cut edition.

if you are a dx fan then absolutely. first time exploring prague is incredible.

if you dont give a shit about the story then its worth a playthrough since some of the leveldesign is just really really good.
its basicly just half of a game though since it was pushed out with this stupid "games as a service" attitude in mind, the sequel would basicly have been mankind divided part 2, but since it bombed hard this will probably never happen.
also funny how the merchandising for the game pretty much disappeared after the tier based pre order bonus microtransaction bullshit.
squeenix killed deus ex. whatever you do dont spend a penny on it.

It's terrible as deus ex. It does well what it does well (amazingly executed city with its problems, its colors, graphics, all of it), but my god it's main plot is terrible. It promises yet another DX-like ground beaking, world changing adventure where you stand against evil masterminds, but then you take one of the minor puppets out (first boss-tier) and game suddenly ends.
