War Thunder's gameplay is superior in every way is my opinion.

...but finally getting and installing new turrets and bigger cannons in World of Tanks is really satisfying.

I liked world of tanks a lot, but only played for like 60 hours untill I got to parts which forced me to grind more, still, quite simple but good at least for the tanks.

If you either don't have recent hardware or just want to play on your phone or something, WoT also has a mobile version called WoTBlitz which is playable on the PC, it's just a pocket WoT and I though it also was not bad.
I don't know about War Thunder, but I heard it has planes, which sounds cool.

War Thunder for simulators and one shot kill fest. The only game where KV-2 one shots everything that has tracks and wheels up to a tiger.

Don't know about warthunder but I'm a 1600 WN6 player that quit WoT. world of tanks is fun, but you will lose if you're up against clan faggots that load gold rounds in their russian mediums. The game has a bias against sniping tanks because the maps are small and brawling is favored. Because of that, russian tanks dominate the battlefield.

War Thunder is fun until you hit the grind wall.
