I've heard they're approaching this expansion differently since the last two made it basically hearthstone tier, any info on the expansion itself?

They've only revealed two cards so far. One is support for an archetype that doesn't see much play right now, the other counters big guy decks and specifically the Haven Aegis deck that has been pretty strong in the past. Too early to make any big conclusions.

They have to work with what they have. It's mostly existing artwork from their previous game that didn't have many futuristic/scifi cards, few cyberpunk ones at most.
