what japan does well are action/action RPG games, those can have cheesy characters but they can be charming as opposite of some pretty boy with spiked hair exposing some pathetic attempt at drama for 50 hours

What's the appeal? I just can't do generic Tolkien or sci-fi WRPGs, I just can't. Nor cinematic, hollywood inspired F/TPS's

Alos I need really cathy music. Music is like half of a game for me. Games like No More Heroes or Metal Gear Rising are some of my favorites just because of the way the music meshes with the interactive nature of games. Can't get enough. Most non-indie western games I've played have the most sterile fucking soundtracks and I just can't stand to play them

There's exceptions of course. I fucking love Deus Ex, the only WRPG I've managed to finish
