Thats all on you, it probably means you played to much p3 and p4 is just more of the same, that doesn't make it worse it just means you have grown sick of it because p4 has much greater aesthetic variety in the dungeons and you actually have to do most of the work instead of the ai doing most of it in p3, if anything p3 should be the one which puts you to sleep. P4 also paces the story better than p3 which is pretty much nothing happening until the end of the year.
