I hoarded as much data as possible before sows took down Leggendaria. And I've been lurking /jp/ and some nice anons have been giving tips on how to get an invite, but I'm not in a rush at the moment.

My main problem is for controllers, like, I have the money to buy a Pop'n dao, but I've heard of sticking problems, and you need something called "Pac drive" for the lights to work with the PC data. The only reason I'd like to join sows would be for the information, but I've never been a part of a private tracker, so it kinda worries me to fuck up or do something wrong. And my upload speed is fucking TRASH, don't know if you need a certain speed for seeding, but that's also one of my concerns.

If you want to go the Dao route for pop'n all you need to do is remove all the buttons and give everything a good cleaning. Or just buy Samducks for like $80 and replace them for a better experience overall.
For lights, there's a guy on sows who sells something called an Arcin, I think they're $50 shipped and it's a drop in replacement for the Dao board. And just to be clear even with the Dao lights the buttons will light up when pressed, you only need the Arcin if you want game controlled stuff, which is basically just flashes.

I've been concerned with the direction their taking. It will probably be the best pads for home use, but I doubt they'd feel anything like Arcade DDR pads. But the creator of the project says they're better, and that arcade hardware is archaic. Plus, she's been into dance rhythm games for over a decade, so she knows her stuff. Still, disappointing that it isn't trying to mimic an arcade feel, but beggars can't be choosers. And It's not like there are other people trying to make DDR pads, like all the home IIDX/Pop'n/SDVX controllers, so this is about as good as it gets.
