I'll give you Jedi Knight, that game holds up surprisingly well, but Quake II is where I'll have to stop you because that game is incredibly dull.

Because >>388963462 is basically right. I already had played 8 player Descent on a LANned network for a few years before Goldeneye came out. The game was lame as fuck compared to other FPSs that were out at the time. The only people who cared about Goldeneye were actual poor people who never played a competent FPS on PC beforehand.
