>Plot still advances even when the deadline hasn't been reached yet.

Why did they stop doing this in Persona games? In P4 and P5, you either finish a palace or save someone from the murderer and you end up with like 10 days of no plot.

I'm impressed with this game and can't believe I played this last.

...What? Very little happens between each full moon.
Also there's barely any plot at all between, like, May and October. When it gets good it's real good but plot specifically isn't the strong suit of any of these games.

Because the deadline is always the same day and the only day you can finish the boss while in P5 the game doesnt know what day you will finish
>>
>>388951491
Probably because you can't fight a full moon shadow without the moon being full, but you can save a kidnapping victim from the fog without it being foggy, and you can brainwash a dude without them being about to sue your ass.
Persona 3 is on more of a schedule than the other 2, not less.

But barely anything happens before full moons. The worst was the months before the very last day which made the game screech to a snail pace. People call it build-up but it dragged out for too long
>>
You're wrong. The plot advances so slowly in these games (p3 included) because they don't have enough content to cover the entire length, so you get lengthy periods of nothing, or weeks of repeating the same shit
>>
>>388952875
You have terrible taste and zero patience. Also your days should be spent soaking up the god tier atmosphere and doing s links during those last two months so I don't know how you managed to fuck that up

>>388953313
>things should happen ALL THE TIME
>>
>>388953313
Part of why I like the series. Real life isn't going to have anime plots thrown your way every single day, if the game wants to be a life sim then it should be realistic.
>>
>>388953356
If persona 3's (specifically Minato's as opposed to Minako's) social links were on par with 4 and 5 I would be fine with how crowded the schedule was even with all the forced wastes of time.
>>
>>388953356
>>388953463
I get the whole life sim aspect, i just hate that you get characters repeating obvious shit, or going obvious over plot points for literally months that you worked out ages ago. The whole cast act like complete fucking dunces in every single game.

The life sim aspect gets shat on to because control is constantly taking over from you so you get periods where you can do fuck all, because you would get through all the life sim stuff to quick otherwise (this is more a critique of persona 5 where it seems like the game is controlling more what you're doing than you are the majority of the time)

>There's too much plot, I want more free time to do what I want !
>There's too little plot, the game drags on between deadlines !
Which is it actually ?
>>
>There's too little plot, the game drags on between deadlines !

this, if you aren't a fucking loser.

I hope P3 gets remade soon
>>
>>388956471
The only upside of P3D is that it brings us these new models. I'm still fucking bitter these games exist otherwise.
>>
>>388955265
The game drags on the same plot points for ages taking away your free time and giving you little plot
>>
>>388955265
How about
>Every Persona game has absolute dogshit pacing
>>
>>388957554
I'm guessing you're excluding P1 and P2.
>>
>>388957752
Obviously, Persona started at 3.
