What comfy games does /v/ play while listening to podcast?
>pic very related
This used to be my job.
What the fuck kind of entertainment do you get out of that dude? Care to explain?
>>388918945
I've been trying to get into Elite Dangerous since someone said its like a Trucking Simulator in Space. Pretty good so far
>>388919924
>What the fuck kind of entertainment do you get out of that dude? Care to explain?
it's only for people who never had a job
they sit at home all day and fimd entertainment in pretending to have a job
>>388920223
>>388919924
it's pretty good with a wheel and listening to some music on the radio makes it chill for me
can't do more than one delivery tho, max 1 hour of play time per session
>>388920223
It used to be my job and I enjoyed playing the game high as fuck listening to that EVROPA 2 radio station.
I quit my job two years ago and haven't touched the game since then, I pirated the American version but I didn't find it enjoyable at all.
>>388920223
Nah its mostly for germans. coming home after a long day of work, nothing better to relax than with a work-simulator
>>388920296
This explains that.
I don't want to be "that guy" who talks shit because he knows how it really is, but being a real trucker is boring as fick most of the time, even with a radio.
I had to drive for long ass times, sleep in the back of the cabin (which was nowhere near a bed in matter of comfiness) and then take the road again.
>>388920401
why does Hanz always want to work?
is it the german spirit?
>>388920401
I feel I can understand the logic of being able to enjoy a work-simulator after coming home from work. Some people enjoy their job, but the stress of failure/accidents/mistakes makes it hard to enjoy while actually working
>podcasts
I never found one with actual content (no BS "small talk" padding) and good mic quality.
Any Paradox game.
>>388919924
>>388920296
>Don't enjoy my job
>Why do people enjoy a game for a job that I personally don't enjoy?
>Care to explain?
>Make is sound like the problem is ither people and not himself
Everytime.

Metal Gear Solid 4 has in-game podcasts
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PdOb6mS6tac&list=PLE6846A596226E04C&index=1
>been using the internet for nearly 20 years
>only recently discovered podcasts are audio-only files
For years I thought it was just another way to describe online videos.
Cities Skylines.
>>388920498
>is it the german spirit?
Most likely. There is a reason "Made in Germany" stands for quality and precision. Maybe its the satisfaction that you get at the end of the day when you know you actually accomplished something.
Minecraft used to be my jam for that. But I don't have any podcasts I listen to nowadays. They all went to shit.
>>388918945
Any good history podcasts?
>>388918945
SMT Nocturne while listening to podcasts (Sleepycast) was comfy as fuck
>>388920223
You're projecting.
>>388919924
it's fun because you're not obligated to do it and can turn it off whenever, since it's a game.
what's so hard to believe about people wanting to just cruise around in a big ass truck?
Recently startet playing cities skylines after work while listening to some podcasts or watching Netflix.
Can't wait to get home today make myself some tea and watch lucifer while expanding my city. It's cold outside and rainy so perfect to just stay home
I really like Elite Dangerous. Just running a few courier missions or going exploring in_________VR_________
I only listen to GiantBomb though. I am about to start a mindless office job for four months. What should I listen to while I do it?
The trade and explorations parts of Elite are pretty chill as well.
>>388918945
I play this and listen to the best of Patrice on O&A
>>388922404
Patrician taste my dude.
>>388919924
>He doesn't find driving relaxing.
Why do you listen to podcasts even? What's so interesting about some people talking shit for hours?
Also post more comfy ETS2 screenshots
>>388919924
Maybe making a living out of being a trucker is shit, but i love driving both irl and in games.
I love getting the highway, i can drive for 5-6 hours without getting sick of it
>>388922682
>What's so interesting about some people talking shit for hours?
Stop listening to podcasts that are bad. There are hundreds of podcasts and plenty of them are educational and I'm sure you can find a bunch related to a topic you are interested in.
>>388922750
>Stop listening to podcasts that are bad.
But I've never in my whole life listened to a single podcast ever, that's why I'm asking.
>radiolab deleted their youtube channel
I'm still sad.
Factorio.
I have it as a general "running in the background" game that I constantly dip in and out.
>>388922682
Find decent podcasts, or lectures. I mostly listen to academic ones, or ones where experts talk about subjects I'm interested in but not actually well educated about. You can learn a lot from them.
>>388923051
>decent podcasts, or lectures. I mostly listen to academic ones, or ones where experts talk about subjects
Such as?
>>388918945

When I was a kid, kids played Flight Simulator and dreamed of being a pilot.
>>388923756
I feel you anon, if only flight school wasn't so expensive.
>>388923756
w-what are you now anon?
>>388923756
I've heard every pilot describes the job as a nightmare so terrible only those with a true passion and dream of it can handle it.
>>388920390
In a game though, you can stop whenever you start getting bored, unlike at work.
>>388923978
Not him but I had the same dream, and I now work at a boring office job refining mortgage loans......It blows...
>>388924072
i-is the pay good?
>>388923971
I started flight school but never finished. Regretting ithe desu.
>>388923756
Im a wagecuck pilot in R***air
Trust me, its not a dream.
Its not the 80s anymore.
>>388924375
What's wrong with it?
>>388924354
I couldn't even begin, even thought about joining the airforce in my country, ended up studying marketing, some day I'll have enough money for a Cesna and the private license.
>>388922682
its friendship simulator and modern form of cancer.
>>388923978
this really got more to the point today
>>388920614
Informative: Stuff you should know, or Radiolab (older seasons anyway, later ones are more political)
Entertaining: Welcome to Nightvale
I play KF2 or trackmania games while im listening to them.
This is the perfect game for podcasts.
>>388918945
I used to listen to podcasts while grinding in Warframe. Helped take my mind off of at least some of the monotony.
>>388924681
i only make a few hundred grand letting autopilot do most of my job, its awful
>>388926761
>a few hundred grand
That sounds like great pay.
>>388926761
Don't you dare make bait that makes us self conscious of our weak wages you fucking monster
>>388918945
>listening to podcast while gaming
What is this, some kind of new trend for kids with attention deficit?
>>388927448
yeah man
There's no salmon raising sims yet, is there? Best job I ever done/do, and the pay is as good as many higher education jobs while requiring none. And you work only 3 weeks a month
>>388927448
To be fair, EuroTruck is designed with this sort of thing in mind. You are driving a truck, unless you love the sound of other cars around you (and occasional heavy rain)I like it every now and then, you will turn on the radio/player to listen to something, be it music, radio shows, sound-only porn, or podcasts.
