Disappointing game, the dinosaurs and first parts are nice but the game so short it feels like a demo more than a real game and the final boss is embarrassing to say the least.

It's like a thinned down version of half life, in space.

Definitely check out Condemned 1, ignore the sequel entirely

Resident Evil 7, S.T.A.L.K.E.R, and Metro 2033 and its sequel are also great examples. Also consider Vampire:The Masquerade Bloodlines if you want a game dripping delicious atmosphere

Also eh, Prey was alright but it really dragged on towards the end. After I got to a certain point it just felt like I had reached a portion of the game where it felt like the developers had just started going through the motions to drag the game out. Still blows my mind just how mind numbingly retarded some of the "puzzles" were later on. Like a lot of them were just "spirit walk through force field, hit switch on other side of the force field". It's like, why even fucking bother making it a puzzle at that point especially in cases where the switch is literally right on the other side of the force field?
