It's great, but just don't expect the scope and/or "realism" of 3D GTA games. Free roamig is fun for the action and chaos you can make, but not so much for exploration. Respect system was kinda innovative. Also, trains and bikes are present in GTA1 but not GTA2.

When I was 10 I spent countless hours killing people and exploding cars before even knowing this game had missions.
It's one of my favourite games.
Trying to get into the prison in the second city by doing the jump with a fast car and start to run over people was one of the things I loved about this game.
