Will this ever actually be released? Or will it be stuck in eternal development while they make millions off of literal retards paying for ship skins that they can't use?
>mfw
My guess, one of the modules will release this year or early next year at a very beta state for backers, the other modules will stay in development hell once the first modules fails.
The latter
>>388896628
it's done. RSI will announce it at some point but its plain to see
Can anyone explain why they choose to work on miscellaneous features before even getting core gameplay working? Facial tracking, npc dialogue, fucking FPS segments... feature creep is real, but why put that shit first?
>>388896628
>Scam Citizen
There's gonna be a new and exciting feature that will delay the Alpha even further.
>>388897478
The executives have no plans to actually release the game, they're just milking as much money as possible before releasing some barely functional piece of crap and pretending that's the best they could do
>>388897478
because Chris Roberts is a fucking perfectionist sperg that can never make up his mind and does not understand when he needs to stop
watch the mandalore video
>>388897646
So basically like every other developer, huh?
>>388897708
>mandalore video
summarize it for me
>>388897734
No, other developers have deadlines and goals that can be reached

Squadron 42 should be done by now. There is no excuse.
>>388897914
Perhaps, but they don't seem that far off from the blokes behind SC these days.
>>388897894
DON'T MAKE ME GOOGLE IT

Squadron 42 will never be done.
>>388898389
I'm going to bed instead.
>>388896628
The latter. They'll milk more money keeping it in the smoke and mirrors of development than realising the final product and risking their mentally damaged cultists waking up to the cool aid.
>>388896628
Haven't looked into it in like 6 months, but the gunplay and movement looks so fundamentally shit, i don't think it could ever be a good game with the basic shit so flawed.
honestly, it's fun to shit all over this "game", but I truly do hope that they pull it together and make the product they are selling. If it pans out then it might be the best space sim ever made. But $15,000 for a digital ship skin? Seriously? On an early access, crowdfunded game? Its just so fucked up
>>388896628
A lot of countries don't have consumer protection laws and those that do don't really enforce them for Vidya, so they could just keep milking it until it loses popularity and they pull a DayZ
>>388897478
Money. They announce a new feature every now and then to keep rich retards excited.
Like a cat and a piece of string, if the string is still the cat's not interested, but wiggle it a bit and you have his attention.
>>388897948
funniest shit i've seen all day.
See, this is /v/'s fucking problem.
And the fundamentals aren't even known yet
Ive been able to communicate with the devs to get insight
SO JUST FUCK OFF ALREADY
Is 3.0 even out yet?
>>388902845
So basically, this game isn't getting made until the kickstarter cashflow ends.
>yfw it eventually comes out and it's the best game of it's genre for years
