You just set a timer for 85-89 seconds as soon as he hits rage mode. It always goes off at 90 seconds unless you topple it, in which it restarts until the next rage mode. Its also not that hard to react to it because Teo rarely ever flies.

There may be others but those are confirmed.

So just look for HBGs with those modes and you'll feel a lot more like you're packing artillery.
That and the new larger areas with no load zones actively encourage you to take shots at monsters from far away if the weapon range allows it.

The mortar shells, from what I've seen in one or two videos, is what cluster shots are now. Crag shots are also arbitrarily renamed "sticky bomb" shots. Yeah, there was some in-depth analysis of the weapon and when he used the mortar shots, it showed them as "Cluster" in the ammo list. I know that about special ammo, I was talking about the Internal ammo in Gen. Like the elemental pierce and smoke bomb shots and the like. No, the stuff in gen was always going to be only in gen. Generations was spin-off "best of" game that's not part of the mainline series. Styles and arts were always intended to be a one-off deal, hell XX wasn't even supposed to exist.
But even then if you've been paying attention they've actually taken a lot of ideas from the styles and arts and added them to the weapon's movesets in World
Besides everyone knows the worst monster hunter is far and away the first one. It's not even up for debate, the first game is clunky as hell and terribly polished. Fucking hell you attack with the right stick in it.

I got to G3 yesterday myself, and between him and the USJ event quest where you take on a Seregios and a Zinogre at the same time, I've started using my palicos again for the first time in 50-100 hours. I just need fucking something, anything to distract them, because it's fucking annoying without. I'm at the point where I'm really starting to think that these quests are best suited for groups of 2 to 4.

The Brach is fine, especially if you have a water weapon (I personally used the T. Naja IG), but the S. Zinogre is a whole other fucking story. This quest will make you fucking hate S. Zinogre. He spawns these balls that not only do dragon damage, but inflict dragonblight, so say goodbye to your affinity, and the way they track you will make you pull your hair out from taking repeated hits.
I finished the quest with only a minute left, and I had ran out of healing items. If you can, I honestly recommend finding someone to help you with it, because it is not fun in the slightest. It is so overly frustrating, and the fact that it takes place in V. Hollow is the cherry on top of the shit sundae.
