What games are so baffingly terrible to the point where they're hilariously enjoyable? And I don't just mean the average Unity asset flip, I mean games that try really hard but also have virtually no self-awareness of how terrible their execution is, like vidya equivalents of schlocks by Tommy Wiseau or Neil Breen.
Pic related is probably the most infamous one but there are probably others.
I remember when it first came out everyone (marketing I guess) said it was one of the most gory and horrific games ever made
I will never understand why people say this game is so bad it's good.
I love the story and wish the game would be remade with acceptable gameplay, because it's a chore to force yourself through it

I would really like to replay it after watching Twin Peaks, but I hate those action sequences.
Is there any kind of mod that removes gameplay or something?
This game legitimately has the best written characters in any video game I can think off, and it pisses me off eternally that D4 will never get finished to cure me of the blue balls it left me with.
I don't know. DP was fun from any angle for me. Wrecking shit with wrench was satisfying, it's like poor man's re4/sh. And York as a character and his VA is fucking great.

>I will never understand why people say this game is so bad it's good.
First impressions are lasting impressions. With stuff like the squirrels making monkey noises, it's easy to get fooled into thinking it's going to be so bad it's good. Some of the gameplay stuff doesn't help either.
The guy is a madman. I honestly think we got the best we could expect.

Deadliest Warrior: The Game and the sequel.
They're terrible fighting games with shit like instant kill projectiles if you hit the opponent in the head. However, you also get to do things like pirate vs ninja, there's a mode that lets you hack off limbs with any hit, a zombie mode in which characters are not eliminated until they're completely destroyed (you get results like ending up as a pair of legs trying to avoid William Wallace and his body cleaving claymore), and the second game has a strategy game mode where controlling different regions will buff your character in different ways.

This madman making game about cats in england with shit art direction. Total disappointment.
>>388867691
That's because they're all literal ripoffs of Twin Peaks characters.
>>388867017
I bought it thinking it was the equivalent of a shitty horror film. And while it is pretty damn bizarre at first to the point of hilarity, outside of the combat, the game was genuinely interesting and endearing.

In the first draft probably, but in the finished game most characters ended up pretty different from their Twin Peaks equivalents.
>>388868463
Oh man my friend bought that and had a bunch of us over. It was so fucking fun being a pirate and only throwing bombs at each other.

This
Everything about it but the gameplay and acting was pretty good (graphics weren't too good either), but give both of them a nice touch up and have a more diverse soundtrack, and it would have been a great game.
>play deadly premonition
>people tell me it's like a twin peaks video game
>watch twin peaks
>it's literally deadly premonition
Couple coats of shiny spray paint, I'd buy it again

>not playing ninja and using pocket sand

>And York as a character and his VA is fucking great.
If you like him and the game that much you should try listening to the interview SWERY did through e-mail. Apparently the guys who interviewed him got York's VA voice all his responses.
Can't find it on youtube but the original podcast is on itunes if you have any interest.

The Bouncer for PS2.
Classic shite.
>Deadly Premonition
>bad
get out of here, you clearly do not understand it
I fucking love deadly premonition. Comfiest game.
Every single one of the MDickie games. Absolutely hilarious.

Sonic 06. It's honestly amazing how everything (except the music) went so horribly wrong.
>>388867332
Yeah, Deadly Premonition isn't so bad it's good. It's so good it's great. They had ten dollars and they wanted to make a fucking game, so they did.
>>388873420
This. I played through all three campaigns with a buddy and it was a blast, although he's gotten a bit obsessed with it. He genuinely wants to 100% it, which seems like a bit of a nightmare to me.
Everyone bow down to thy lord of so-shitty-it's-hilariously-great games. I'm unironically considering getting it on Steam.

What a complete fucking idiot
OP is probably the kind of moron that watches RLM regularly..
so good its bad XDDDD
It's a very ambitions game on a very small budget. It manages to accomplish a lot of things, and the story is brilliant
Deadly Premonition is a fucking amazing game despite absolutely failing on every technical level
>>388867017
this game didnt age well lol, its comically bad.
but i still enjoy it, the quests were interesting at least
