These phone processors are indeed powerful but operate at a fraction of their true capacity so they can consume minimal power when they are idle.

Screens suck the juice out of the unit ontop.

As an example of task power consumption, I can use my GPD Win (Intel Atom) for a good 8 hours web broswing and shit, but gaming wise it only lasts for about 2-4 depending on the game. (Sonic Mania is 4, Fallout New Vegas is like 2 hours)

One of the problems with both cell phones and computers is that they don't offer the physical feedback that I've grown accustomed to. Although mouse and keyboard is certainly more rewarding than a cell phone touchscreen, the feedback from moving a mouse and tapping the keyboard cannot compare to the satisfaction of using an analog stick (or joystick) and pressing responsive (both in the game and actually responsive due to the unique sound and feel of pressing the button). If mouse and keyboard cannot satisfy someone who grew up with arcades and controllers like myself, a cell phone doesn't even begin to compare. I consider mobile gaming outside of handheld video game consoles to be a fucking joke and completely irrelevant to the industry.

And, yes, I'm aware that both cell phones and PCs can use controllers and arcade sticks. However, since I'm conceding that, it's also worth noting that games developed with either a PC or a cell phone in mind will not optimize the experience for the alternate control method and will, rather, focus on the primary way the end-use will control the product.

tl;dr KBM isn't even satisfying enough for me and lots of other people. This sentiment is more widespread when the focus is on cell phone gaming.

It is kind of pathetic how little the Switch is capable of.
