It's weird to imagine back when 3d games were still figuring out their control schemes. Like with everything there was pushback against anything new. You can bet if true motion or brain controlled games start coming out there will be people on /v/ writing shitposts about how awful it is even if it's the most intuitive control scheme ever invented.

It's better than it had any right to be. It's also hard as fuck later in the game, be sure to stock up supplies as Ripley during the start because you get fuck all during her later levels, it's ridiculous. Also there's a wierd glitch that happens on everything but the original PS1 where certain doors won't open and you need (I shit you not) a specific AUDIO plugin for them to open on emulators.

I honestly don't mind FPS on consoles. I never understood the hate it gets from PC purists. It's not perfect, but it's fine honestly considering you play on an even level.
