I think I fucked up bad, /v/
So I've been trying to get my girlfriend more into video games. She plays mostly casual stuff on her phone these days, and says she has a hard time finding games she likes in today's market. She admits to being very picky. She likes some of the older stuff, mostly rpgs. Secret of Mana, Chrono Trigger, the Final Fantasies, et cetra. She says she really enjoys stories and video game lore, so I got her Skyrim, since it's pretty much a gold standard when it comes to rpgs. I added some of the graphics mods, but none of the ones that change gameplay. I didn't want to overload her on them for her first of what I was sure to be many playthroughs.
So she loaded the game up and was going through that long ass opening scene. She spends a lot of time customizing her character, since she enjoys that kind of thing. She had fun with all the modded hairstyles since some of those mods look pretty amazing. Anyway, she was eventually done with chargen and all that. I decided to have a little fun, though. In retrospect, I probably shouldn't have done this.
I told her that you get executed if you pick the wrong race.
At first, she laughed and thought I was joking. I was smiling because I wanted to watch her reaction when her character almost gets executed. Then the scene played out and she goes into freakout mode because her character is approaching the chopping block. Right about the time her character kneels and the axe is about to come down, she slams the laptop shut and screams "Fuck this racist game!" She packed her things and left.
So now she's pissed and won't talk to me.
Any tips on how I can fix this?
