Why are a lot of good series getting crappier? Why were the best ones around 2006-2013? (Mass Effect, Call of Duty, Battlefield, Halo, Saints Row, Gears of War, etc).

Why are you so bad at trolling?
Eh, speak for yourself, I quite liked Infinite Warfare's campaign. Multiplayer was just standard COD bollocks, though.
As in the multiplayer's total horseshit and I don't know why it's popular.

I wasn't aware that I was...

They're not getting worse, they're just not changing. They're the SAME things we had a decade ago with a nicer coat of paint.

This is not true for Halo.
To many sequels.

Infinite Warfare's campaign is better than the entire Mass Effect series.

It does have a couple of flaws, though.
Like the fact that it apparently takes place over a single day. Somehow. But damn it had its moments. Blasting through a cruiser's bridge, tearing its shit up from inside, and dropping out the bottom hangar is a favourite of mine.
They were not good in the first place

The problem is they are changing, but for the worst. The vast majority WANT the same exact thing, but they refuse to give it to them. Try playing the beta of the newest CoD entry and then compare it to CoD4. It feels extremely sluggish and non responsive. They keep getting a bunch of morons who don't know what they're doing to "enhance" the old engine and it always comes out worse than if they had done nothing at all, not to mention the ill received game play changes they keep making (jetpacks, weak killstreaks, etc). They're killing their own franchise single handedly.
If they would simply take CoD4, add new maps, weapons, and killstreaks (essentially a DLC), CoD would be back on top again. I mean the remastered version of CoD 4 was more anticipated than the actual new game. This is what the audience truly wants, but instead for years they've gotten "sort of CoD, but with wacky X feature that we can market on the box".
