Can videogame journalists objectively review videogames if they get advance copies for free?
No, then the company will blacklist them and they'd have to pay for their own games
the reviews only get subjective when they're not given an advance copy for free.
There are no videogame journalists. Only hobbyists posing as them, without anyone actually being a trained journalist of having a degree in journalism.
No. You notice that when ever someone says "i got this review copy" they always say good things after? Every fucking time. I've never seen a time where they said something bad. It's essentially bribery.

stop using that knock off muppet for your videos and show your face to the camera for once
objectively was the wrong word of choice partner. should have said accurately.

he shows his face in practically every single video though

You are right. My mistake.
>Objective review of a product
No such thing

but yes i think they should not be given copies ahead of time / be able to review the game without having it completed multiple times /once on the hardest difficulty

>hobbyists
They're not even that
The moment they start being too negative they risk losing all future free copies of games.
better question: can gamers wait for an objective review?
even better question: can gamers just walk away from a game, without first being told that it's absolute shit?
journalism is only a symptom of the much deeper problem of games being an industry disproportionately represented by children and manchildren with no ability to make grown up decisions
Even if they don't get a free copy it's still a 100% tax write off.
