Everything in Sonic 4 looks like its made of plastic, except for Sonic and a few other characters who use a really iffy looking toon shader which clashes with the rest of the game. The animations are bad too. Sure the graphics are technically advanced compared to a game designed to look like it was made for the Saturn, but that doesn't mean it actually looks better.
