Just play 6 and Assault Horizon. They are the epitome of the series, graphically and gameplay wise. The PS2 games are much more simplistic and smaller scale.

I absolutely loved it. I know the story/voice acting is a bit trash but it doesn't seem any worse than any other weeb shit. Is that the only reason or am i missing something else

After completing it a couple of times i'd just turn the voices down to minimum and roleplay that i was in some big Russian/NATO air war.

Man, this and Vector Thrust really helped to highlight just how good the Ace Combat soundtracks are.

Don't get me wrong, I'm still looking forward to PW but damn, I never fully appreciated just how polished AC games are until I started to compare them to stuff like this.
