It look good but it doesn't look like a Sonic Level. What

Basically your refusal to play the game and instead take a screenshot in the only spot where none of the Sonic things are located.

Look now, I haven't played any sonic game except sonic advance but when you feel like this about a game, it's only temporary.

Usually the game is setting a new precedent for what's that game's style and people adapt to that eventually.

Now this level looks way different from the machinery themed levels I've seen in mania screenshots but why not? what makes a level look "Sonic"? Who decides that?
