2nd mission is impossible without sacrificing at least one soldier because they literally place 5 enemies on top of the objective and expect you to do it within 6 turns.
Or you can get some retarded bullshit like 10+ hp general you need to kill surrounded by another 4 enemies.

The timer can be easily modded out or extended by a few turns if it bugs you that much.

There's a few things you can do about them now. There's an option before you start the game to double the length of mission or avatar timers, and there's a resistance order you can get in the game (basically cards that you swap in and out) that makes it so timers don't start until you leave concealment. There was a mod that did this but now it's in-game with an associated cost

That's much better, Anon. There were some points in the game where it sounded like a timer would make sense and make the game more fun, so removing timers altogether sounded like a shitty solution, desu, even if people kept on saying the timers were excessive.

Double length sounds like a good compromise. Maybe there's a mod that makes it so that timers don't start until you leave concealment instead of the RO. That sounds much more sensible.
