Not sure if this will help but Ross from Accursed Farms YT channel did a video on Dungeon Siege. I think he mentioned having workaround for that.

Install Gentoo, play on Wine.

To get it to work on Windows 7, I had to download some random nVidia monitor patch listed in the "optional" section of Windows update.

You may have to do the same.

I got it on steam some months ago and played it without problem on Windows 10.

I get an error message everytime telling me that the game doesn't support 1920x1080 but it launch normally afterward and uses that resolution.
I think any resolution higher than that crashes the game but there should be a fix.

I believe he had a workaround for the lag, which was an issue with shadows, but I don't recall the game not working for him.

I fixed it for Win10 by replacing the usual launcher with an already patched No-CD .exe

Keep in mind I'm using a CD version of Legends of Aranna - the Steam version does not include this expansion due to incompetence from the publisher, so a pirate or a 2nd-hand purchase off ebay is recommended.

The fix might work for steam though so if you really don't care about the expansion (it does let you play the original dungeon siege through it - with added improvements like showing the DPS for weapons rather than having you guess it through the DMG ÷ SPD values)

developers that release games on steam that aren't even playable can eat a bag a dicks

As much as I hate grindshit, I have to admit I'm impressed that enemies don't respawn in Dungeon Siege. It's a ballsy move for a hack and slash RPG game.

I had them both running no prob, plus Blood 2 that is supposed to not work at all, but that's because I'm not PC illiterate, which frankly shouldn't be requirement in the first place

for me it works out of box (well, server), though I might mess with it a bit to see if I can make it run in 1080p
