How does the spin attack work for non-hedgehog characters? Why does curling into a ball to smash into enemies work for characters with no spikes?

they kick and headbutt

Spinning is actually a blunt force attack. The spikes just make Sonic appear faster when he runs.

The same way a blanka ball works
F=MA friendo. Slamming into something at sufficient speed is going to break it regardless of how sharp you are.
basically how other characters do a spin attack is that the put their feet on their chests and run as fast as they can, this causes them to spin cause they are running on their body, once they are at top speed they jump off their chest, causing them to launch forward

A better question is how does tails keep his tail's in one place relative to the rest of the world while he's spinning?
>>388705537
How does Tails twirl his tails to fly without them immediately getting tangled?
>>388705537

He's double jointed.

boys, have you actually ever seen a fox with a tail? let alone two tails? His name is Miles Prower, the tails are magnetically connected to him, which is what allows them to spin independently and trail behind him when he rolls
