How do I get into Rance series? I can't find any guidelines

i started with sengoku beacuse it was the only game translated at the time i think.

sengoku is pretty much its own story without to many refrenses to the other games so its a good place to start.

Sengoku Rance is literally the optimal starting point. It's the seventh game in the series, so they've got their humor and stuff fully developed so you'll know if you enjoy the series or not, and the story's mostly standalone so you don't have to worry about continuity. Literally the only connection to the other games, other than Rance and Sill, is that you can call in characters from previous games sometime around the halfway mark.

02 is, and 01 has an anime. 4's in English, Kichikuou is in English, 5D's in English, 6 is in English, Sengoku is in English and Quest Magnum is being translated. We're pretty much just missing 03, really.

only thing you need to know is only rance and that other guy can hurt demons beacuse of thier swords (if both of them are not in the fight against a demon, the demon wont take damage beacuse plot reasons) and no, apostles are not demons and can be killed by normal menas.
