I can't speak for GMOD, but I don't think it's anywhere near Sonic (though I probably haven't been exposed to the worst parts of it). For some reason, crossover art like your pic doesn't really bother me as much as, say horses.
The only real bad things from what I could tell are the people who ignore/are ignorant of the manga and these: >>388701324 memers, and I can't tell if the later group are serious or simply running a joke into the Earth's core.

That said by that criteria Polnareff was 3x worse until he redeemed himself after the Alessi shit and the Vanilla Ice fight. I thought fucking Iggy was more sympathetic than Polnareff.
