Armageddon wanted to be MK Trilogy but failed.

A lot of people consider that the downfall of the series started with MK4.
I never understood why, besides some boring characters like jarek and kai and the game taking forever to get a good revision in the arcades, it was fast as shit and comboing was a lot of fun.
Tanya/Scorp/Sub are hilariously broken, but what MK game isn't broken?

It still is the black sheep of the series, but it's still a better fighter than all the other 3D MKs until 9.
That said, this game had problems
-quasi 2.5D but still able to rotate on a 3D plane, sometimes
>levels with throwable items on the ground
>meme endings for all the characters
>the game was fucking ugly for a fighter released in late 1997
>weapon system that was awkward to use and never had any real impact on a fight
>Shinok as the final boss

MK4 was always just decent. Paled in comparison to Tekken 3, SFA3, Vampire Savior, MvC, and KoF98 though.
