Indeed. You can still see plenty of white areas from after they bucket filled the background to be black. The terrible overlays to ramp up the orange, purple, and blue over each image. Those poor S symbols under each image, not to mention the fact that they're not even centered properly.
The worse offender is how they tried to "fix" the Prime 1 visor. It's really sloppy.
The whole thing is a mess.

Glad I'm not the only one who felt disappointed that it wasn't there. I still think AM2R as a whole is great, even when it does end up a bit fanfic-y like that one hallways shmup boss that was great to fight but completely unfitting compared to other Metroid series bosses.
Meanwhile SR looks mediocre as hell to me and I really, really hate how much of the combat seems to be focused around the melee counter and cutscene attacks.
