Nah, people hate it for starting a lot of the things that plague the game industry today, like DLC and a focus on tacked on multiplayer modes and open worlds, and the death of AA-developers.

In my personal opinion, in terms of vidya quality, it was a first sign of downfall after the vidya golden age that lasted from the release of the SNES to the release of the 360. Yes, good games released during gen 7, a lot of my favourites actually now that I think about it (like Dark Souls, Bayonetta or Monter Hunter Tri), but it was lacking in terms of number of games that have the potential to become classics.

What did he mean by this? I sold my 360 in 2010 for a PS3. At the end of the generation I had roughly 60 PS3 games, more than triple what I ever had for the 360

not to mention pic related came as a bonus
