Oh shit, this happened to me too. Every couple months a UFO appears in my game. I managed to actually get there in January 1996 on a landed UFO with a mudranger with my loadout of 10 agents with 9 shotguns and 1 looted hunting rifle. I got BTFO. Unsurprisingly, it turned out sectiods wih plasma pistols are final bos-tier.

Started playing this mod earlier today. First mission took 25 turns because it was a single cultist lurking somewhere in one of four large buildings.

Is there any good way to draw them out in that situation?

BUT, when you throw in the aim and evasion modifiers of both the character holding it, and the enemy you're trying to hit, plus range modifiers, it gets a little funky.
