So, the world of the heroes is, from what we last heard, doomed, but a character goes to try and help even though it might be futile, all because they let one side win.

I quit around 7.1 and just resubbed so I don't know how much of this you may have already had with Nighthold patches.
Frost DK actually got a bunch of buffs in 7.3 to take it away from just being based around Breath of Sindragosa/Frostwyrm cooldown so it's still being tested to see how much better off it is.
I don't know if this was after Nighthold or not but they made Soul Shards less fucky with Destro Lock and it seems more stable with less RNG than it had at launch.
