Prove me wrong
>>388623679
why don't you watch a movie?
>Gameplay last
You are wrong
EDF games are the exact opposite of your priorities and they are great games. What you have described is Gone Home.

Did giant snails exist back then?
>>388623679
go kill yourself /tv/
>>388623934
Yes, that's why they're in so many medieval manuscripts.
I'd play a game about it.

Because my tastes should be acknowledged and accommodated too.

EDF games are hard as hell and the frame rate is shit
not very fun to play
>>388623679
Sounds perfect for a tv serie or movie, but I think you posted in the wrong board since this isn't /tv/
>>388623679
Honestly switch characterization withstory then run that shit backwards and you got the right answer

Gameplay > Art Direction > Sound Direction > Music > Story > Graphics
>>388624284
>sound direction and music are in different categories
???
>>388624336
music obviously covers music, but I wouldn't really lump in literally every other sound the game makes with music.
They're two different things as far as I'm concerned

>EDF games are hard as hell and the frame rate is shit
These games arent hard, what are you talking about, were you playing on the hardest difficulty without levelling up? Ill give you the framerate if on PS4 but it was fine on PC. Also framerate does not make a game good, it makes a good game better.
Gameplay = story (includes characterization) = visuals = music
I won't play a game with only a good gameplay.
I won't play a game with only a good story.
>>388624561
Thing is, you can play a game with good gameplay and shit story and enjoy it, you wont stick with a game that has a good story and shit gameplay. There are exceptions to both of course but this is mostly how it goes. Silent Hill 2 would be something with good story and shit gameplay for example, I dont find myself constantly playing it and coming back for more, but I appreciate it.
>>388623679
Arcanum.
>>388624684
That depends. I never replay a game because I see it as a waste of time, and I could finish a game with only a good story (i.e. a visual novel), and vice versa, but they will bore me equally. They really have to have both in order to create that atmosphere only video games can do.

Wrong
