I usually get pretty bored just playing against noobs unless it's a game where it can be like 1 skilled player vs 20 noobs, then both sides seem to have fun. I always have the most fun with close hectic games though, even if I end up losing.

That's only in bad games.
Play something like starsector. Starsector has good AI.
Although, I do wish there was something like starsector to play online. Not all AI is complete garbage and uninteresting to fight against.
