I "tried" FGO and it was just overwhelmingly obtuse and confusing so I didn't even bother with it. The gameplay itself didn't even feel interesting from the two mock battles I took part in, and the writing was offensively awful.
Maybe the gameplay is better much farther down the line but pretty much everything turned me off of it almost instantly. And it took a ton of space and used a lot of energy while running.

Heroes, from what I remember, was much more welcoming and easier to get in to as a new player, and from what I saw of FGO's gameplay, Heroes has far more depth and interest.

I'm 99% certain a solid portion of FE fans actually think FE is the height of jap srpgs. Otherwise Awakening's and Fates' popularity would make no sense, because those both have retarded plots and mostly terrible casts. Yes, the characters have a gimmick, and there are some that are irredeemable shit, like Peri, but most of their supports are average/a bit dull at worst. I prefer having a plethora of supports and seeing the characters interact with each other than the mostly bland casts of previous games with a few standouts and few supports.

This. I was tier 19 again last week, popped up into tier 20 again this week. I used a low IV team and didn't farm points and had a laughable score of I think it was 4792. Sub-fucking 4.8k gets you into 20 now. It's EZPZ mode as shit, we need more tiers.
