What is the point of Ultra settings besides selling >500$ GPUs?
Do you rather play on ultra settings at a lower than 60 framerate or at high settings and well above 60?
Those setingus used to employ demanding effects and very detailed models and textures.
Nowadays they are some goyworks™ cancer like overblown ssao taking up 500% more power to render or some godray using x64 tessellation and x8 msaa.
And even if you do not play on ultra devs will still write the code in a way that will make your not-newest gpu struggle.

i hate to be the one to tell you but pretty much all cards now costs >500€
and with such card you can play everything on ultra >60fps unless you are playing in 4k, and you aren't.

Stable framerate > framerate > graphics

I have that same card since launch and I can play ROTR in 4k with pretty much all maxed settings with pretty decent fps (way better than any console). And this is ROTR we are talking about here.

That said, I can play any game on the market all maxed in a lower resolution without ever going below 60.
I prefer to play in the highest frames per second I can. Ideally, I'd like to play in the highest fps at the highest graphics settings on a monitor with very high refresh rates. Primarily though, I will prioritize fps over all else.
Currently, I play most AAA titles at 144 fps on a 144Hz monitor.

>got a rx 480 for 200€ earlier this year
>can play everything at way over 60fps on a step below highest settings
um
im good thanks
obviously part of the ultra settings is also the resolution. ultra quality texture don't mean anything if you view them in mere 1080p
I'm not a demanding user, as long as it runs fine and looks good in my eyes at 21:9 I'll be happy
Won't be replacing my rx470 at least until new consoles come out, and when that happens I won't get a GPU that costs more than 300$
I got a gtx1070 to play in 1440p because 1080p looks like shit on a large monitor.
