Did the Ifrit fight even last 12 minutes? Wasn't it like 3 or so while he just kind of slowly walked toward your direction the whole time, and then you press the summon button to do a cinematic takedown?

Anyway track finished. If it didn't say [Ifrit Battle Theme], I wouldn't have even been able to remember when that track played in the game. I don't think I'd attribute it to Final Fantasy in the first place either. It didn't feel like it was for a climactic battle (granted, the Ifrit fight didn't play like one either, it was only position as one) or representing any of the other themes of the game. It felt bland and uninspired, even moreso than the game itself.

It's a good thing there was an "MP3 player" in the game. It didn't save the game by any means, but at least they paid a minute amount of respect toward the talent poured into previous titles through that.

You can dodge 90% of attacks by just holding a single button and the game does basically everything it can to keep you alive. You will probably never die in combat. It's the easiest FF, and that's saying something.

Don't listen to him he's a memester. Fighting mechanics maybe not be very interesting but they serve their purpose well enough. You want to go on an adventure with your bros then you will like the game for that since it is the only good part of the game.
Here is my advice and i suggest you take it : ignore the main quest only hurt will come if you try to care about it. Say it out loud "fuck lunafreya, fuck the kingdom, fuck my father and fuck the fate of the world. I will make my own story now, time to go camping, i brought my fishing rod and a hunt bill. Woohoo"
Do that and you will enjoy the game, trust me. Just trust me.

It's not a genuine MP3 player, you don't get to put in your own tracks or anything. Just kinda collect albums for the old games and play them while driving, or on foot (but it gets interrupted by battle.)

I found it weird that ff14 soundtrack didn't stick out to me like when i first played through all the FF13 trilogy.But I guess that's one of the reasons its a disappointment.

The music of ff13 is good but please don't start saying the game was good. FF13 is only decent if you compare it to 15, don't pretend it stands on its own.

It had practically no marketing and was a PS4 exclusive, I don't think it sold particularly well either but it's a fun little game if you're a long time FF fan. It's a solid 7/10 game that doesn't really do anything wrong but just about everything thoroughly above average.
OST is great though.

I actually played the first nier after FFXV in anticipation of automata and the only thing that came to mind was how much I would have loved the OST had I literally not just played through XV... If Nier is a beautiful 7.5 and automata a notch above, XV is a 9 and no game OST i've listened to has come that close to a 10.

I greatly enjoyed 12 at release and didn't agree with the "baad gaem" criticisms but the soundtrack did not even exceed 10. 13 had a much better soundtrack composed by renowned piano arranger Masashi Hamauzu, the ost, combat system and graphics were the highlights of that game.

What is this game ?
Something fascinating. It is an imaginary game. The developers have managed a feat of magic, they have memed into reality a videogame through interviews, side media, promotional content and just getting people to talk about it for years.
This delusion is only validated by the fact it did come out and i think it sheds light on the brutal clash of people that have played the real game and those that have played it for the past 10 years. A videogame that runs on no hardware instead only in the heads of dreamers tailored to their intimate desires.
I want to play such a game.
