yep, i got this problem too every 4 or so matches.
restarting the game after every 2 matches mostly avoids this for me.
however, i watched some streams of people with rediculous PCs playing the game.
and their menus open so much faster and the game is so much more responsive.
i feel like people with a really good PC have a HUGE advantage over average players like myself that have unstable framerates that dip to 30 fps during firefights.

thats the main reason i dislike the game.
i started not taking it very serious and only using shotguns and pistols and solid snaking my way up to enemies with silenced revolvers, wich can be pretty fun.

I play PUBG at 1080p on ultra low on a 1440p 144hz monitor and I get chicken dinners all day long at 144fps. This game is a like a god damn dumpster fire that occasionally spits out nuggets of pure gold.

1. Keeping up with the circle is more important than having the right gear. Having a fully kitted-out 416 and Kar98 with a top-level vest and helmet and a bunch of healing items and grenades doesn't mean jack if you can't outrun the circle and it kills you.

2. Crashing in a vehicle matters in this game. Jumping out of a vehicle at high speed will hurt you, and will usually kill you.

3. Don't get picky over rifles. All the automatic rifles have very similar handling and you'll be firing them semi-auto anyway; an M16 will serve you just as well as a 416 or AKM. 4. The pan is the best melee weapon by a narrow margin because it blocks bullets. This became a meme to the point where the trophies for the recent Invitational were pans. This will almost never come up, but if it does, it's cheesy as fuck and kind of funny.

5. Most cars you see are rusted scrap and don't work. Among the ones that do work, the motorcycle is the fastest, but the most exposed, and most vulnerable to potshots from people who spot you on the road. It also holds only 2. There's a version with a sidecar that holds 3, but you lose the good handling that the regular version has. The buggy offers the most consistent performance (namely for offroading), but also only holds 2, and the passenger is VERY exposed. The 4-door sedan holds 4 (duh) and offers decent cover for everyone inside, but literally can't climb hills at all. The Uaz (it's a Jeep) holds the most, with 5 (but this doesn't matter since the maximum party size is 4), and offers decent cover and reasonably consistent performance, but also burns fuel the fastest.

6. The scopes are zeroed correctly, so if you're familiar with how scopes work IRL with regards to adjusting your aim for distance, you're gonna love that.

i just got a huge performance boost going down to 1080p from 1440p. i use to get like 120-20 FPS on 1440p with a 20% resolution reduction. on 1080p it's definitely in the 100s more often, i actually see it at 144 some times.
i swear 1440p/144hz is the biggest meme ever, it's more demanding than 4k/60fps. and no, needing a 1080 TI just to get ~100 FPS at medium settings with a 1440p/144hz monitor does not make it worth it.

Yeah, it's weird to me that people seem to think dropping into high pop areas or dropping into the middle of nowhere and running from everything are the only two options
