When it comes to resisting the bad shit BBI can cause to your party, which of the three debilitations do you find the most important to be able to withstand - sleep, possession, or petrification? I wanna make sure my pawn is immune to at least two of those.

If you could rank them, that'd be even better.

well there is a gorechimera in bbi 2.0 that can inflict sleep but that shouldn't be too much of a deal. you don't really need sleep resistance if you don't want to fight death his sleep aoe is heavily telegraphed so it's easy to just run away from him.

sleep means death can instant kill the pawn, petrification means a slower but certain death if you don't cure the pawn in time. Possession isn't that problematic is if use the old trick of removing your pawn's weapons when it gets possessed,
otherwise it depends on the pawn, since you must kill it before it does serious damage.

varies, all the classes are viable with the exception of maybe Warrior because of it's shitty amount of skills.

if your playing on PC with a M/Keyboard then Ranger shits on everything because of easy aim, if your playing with a controller it's kinda w/e unless your spamming Blast Arrows to fuck everything up with Tenfold Volley.

MA is much better with a controller because of the auto-aim spells and it has access to some unique dagger skills, Immolation is amazing for when climbing onto enemies, Golems in particular.

MA is one of the most fun classes to play as when maxed, but not to level. Stat growths are biased towards defense and it takes a while to get all the fun skills. Also BBI is where it shines the most and it only becomes truly amazing after you get skill upgrade rings from there.

Yellows and blues are dangerous for sure, but how problematic do you think possessed reds can be? I remember being attacked by a warrior once, but he was more annoying than dangerous with the surprisingly low damage he was dealing. It happened during the early portion of the game, I think.

Not very, but since red vocations are tanky they would take some time to kill and that could be indirectly dangerous. Blue are the less dangerous imo, you can kill them rapidly and you can see them preparing their attacks.

By far my biggest gripe with the post Grigori game, is that the developers made the entire fucking overworld dark as night. And anyone who played DD knows that this game is dark enough during the night and in dungeons, etc, now we have to deal with this bullshit.

Speaking of darkness in this game, I wish there was an air tight lantern in this game because holy FUCK having to re equip my lantern every time it got slightly wet, sent me through the fucking roof.

Any class is good for pawns, but you should train them properly by switching to that vocation and playing quite a bit as them, your Pawn will pick up techniques.

For instance, an untrained warrior pawn with something like Indomitable Lash or Arc of Deliverance on will often try to bust out those moves as often as possible while looking like a fucking idiot as they miss, because they don't have that good-ass human intuition and timing, they'll also ignore using Jump Attacks. Slap Exodus slash on yourself and your warrior pawn and start using jump attacks and proper moves and they'll start doing it too.

>Fighter pawns learn to perfect block if you do it a lot (as Fighter or Mystic Knight)

Also for a Sorc, please slap Voidspell on it and get High Voidspell when you can. If you want good players who will often re-hire your pawn due to them being a favourite, they'll want your sorc around for that. But try to make them not-useless, give them practical spells that don't take *too* long to cast. Things like Comestion, Frigor, and Brontide.

I've always wondered how well that would work out, since holy focused bolts are a lot fucking stronger than you'd think, and the charge time is short enough that pawns can use them repeatedly, whereas with larger spells they tend to always go for the highest level of charge and then uselessly back out of it when an enemy gets anywhere near them. And don't upgrade the heavy attack, because it's garbage and upgrading it will trick your pawn into using it more often.

I know it's pretty late into the thread, but you can use hundred/thousand kisses while climbing on enemies and striders get a retarded bonus to damage while climbing on shit. I think a strider spamming kisses does more damage than a MA doubling up kisses with Immolation. It's seriously stupid strong.

Meanwhile I don't think pawns properly make use of eminance with skull splitter equipped, and Fracture Dart kind of loses its appeal in doors - IE the majority of the end game.

Honestly yeah. After I gold forged everything I'd be at like level 120 at the most and could rarely be bothered to dick about until level 200.

By that point I'd want a break from BBI but going through even post-game gransys with a goldforged virge of madness was just a joke. Then I'd go NG+ hard mode and it'd be the same problem. I burn out and then its only a matter of time before I start thinking about about playing a different vocation. So I start another game and play the game again and again until eventually I burn out for realsies. Then I take a month break and come back and do it again. I love DD
