>Inventive new abilities that add new gameplay mechanics and variety to the combat/traversal

>Bosses have better designs
>Metroid fights actually change depending on the area, even in the same evolution line metroids have unique attacks
>Better intro sequence
>Better map system (pins/waypoints, on bottom screen for incredibly easy access)
>New bosses that actually fit into the world
>Pretty much leads the way for Metroid Dread made by Retro studios

Fuck the people who initially hyped amiibos, which got the scalpers to buy them in droves.

If they had just bombed year 1 this wouldn't be happening.

Metroids is my favourite game franchise of all time, and it's one that has been super unrepresented. Of course I'm going to splash out on everything they release for it

I've hold the amiibo in my hands in the press previews and I have to say it's beautofully crafted.

all the bolts and patterns are carved, it's fucking impressive. I hope it's not a promo model but the consumer final.
