Mario is the biggest franchise in gaming but you're still looking at a game with a limited platform distribution, being an exclusive on a console that's only sold around 5 million in the 5 months it's been out, pitted against one of the largest AAA franchises, with over half a billion dollars spent on Destiny 1 and 2, being a multiplat which given Xbox One and PS4 offers around 80 million potential sales.

For perspective, Destiny claimed the record of most successful launch in history, and within one year they claimed to have 20 million players.

I'm not trying to hype a TORtanic, but you're definitely seeing a kind of AAA fatigue set in.

I was fairly excited when they announced it would be on PC but as more and more content has been shown I just can't get into it. Looks like it's just a DLC pack without all that much to do.
